My 56 Chevy

I have always wanted a 56 Chevy, the car I first learned to drive in, so last Sunday I just went out and bought one at the classic car show in Ladner.

ID'ing a 56 Chevy

This is the car I first learned to drive. You can id the 56 Chevy by the square signal light on the front and by the lever above the red tail light which when turned, drops down the whole light and exposes the gas tank filler opening. Photos taken at the Ladner Classic Car Show.

Disneyland Carousel from Toronto

When I was a little boy living in Toronto, a big treat for us was to go to Sunnyside Park on the Lake Ontario lake shore. Did you know that these carousel horses, now in Disneyland, were originally in Sunnyside Park...they are carved from wood and some date as far back as the late 1800's and early 1900's....now in Disneyland, since opening in 1955, they are always a prime attraction. There are 72 hand painted horses on the carousel.
