Ernest Richard Jones was born on 17 January 1906. (would have been 100 years old, this year)
"Ernie" is Tricia's dad and of course was a London "bobby" prior to retiring (after 25 years service) and immigrating to Australia(1953) and eventually settling in Canada(1959).
Note....sirname is also Jones.....Tricia always says she "married down" from her real Welsh 'Jones' upbringing, to a common Canadian 'Jones' family. I just don't think she wanted to change the names on her luggage tags.
