Today I took pictures of over 60 mailboxes while I was out for a leisurely bike ride in the beautiful country area just west of where we live.

A Summer Wedding in Canada
One of Karen's friends from Japan came to Canada for a traditional "Western" wedding. There was the bride and groom, the grooms parents, the brides brother and his wife, and two of the brides girlfriends, and us. Except for Rie, the bride, who had visited us before, the rest were first time visitors to Canada. Some will carry on to Banff, Lake Louise, Niagara Falls, etc. as part of a 10 day tour of Canada. Karen and Weily got the chance to practise their Japanese...Tricia and I got to smile and nod our heads a lot.

MVP's
Jacob, in South Delta, and Teo, in Vancouver, both completed their Sportball programs this week. Their grandparents were especially thrilled that they both received MVP awards...of course we knew they would. (All the other kids were also excited with being pinned MVP's.)
